This day has been long awaited, now it's finally here! On Monday, August 15, the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® in Havelberg will open its doors to guests from 10.00 am. Wonderful seasonal and year-round arrangements will attract numerous tourists to the Hanseatic town over the next few weeks.

Located directly on the Havel and in the middle of a charming park, the guest house will initially be run as a garni hotel. It has double rooms in various sizes, studios with rooms of up to 40 square meters and a kitchen-cum-living room as well as luxury suites with panoramic views. The 17 modern, four-star rooms and suites in various categories have been individually designed with attention to detail. „The focus is on stylish design and artistic accents,“ explains Jens Vogt, Hotel Director of the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg®.

The next construction phase is also already in full swing: the future main building of the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® is currently being renovated and is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2012. The hotel will then have a total of 45 rooms. „Completion will also allow us to extend our garni status, as we will be able to serve delicious food and drinks around the clock in the future gourmet restaurant with an adjoining daytime restaurant/winter garden and a hall for up to 250 people,“ says Jens Vogt.

From the day it opens, the ArtHotel will be offering numerous seasonal and year-round packages to suit every taste. For example, guests can experience the famous Havelberg horse market with the package of the same name from September 1 to 4. „The horse market has been held every year on the first weekend in September in Havelberg since 1750, some say even since the consecration of the cathedral in 1170. In addition to over 500 horses, which change hands with a handshake just like in the old days, it offers many other attractions such as showmen, cultural tents, sporting events, western and Indian shows, equestrian sport demonstrations, helicopter flights and a fantastic firework display,“ explains Vogt.

The market always attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, but those staying at the new ArtHotel can find peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle and close to the city center. The package offers three nights in a high-quality double room with breakfast from the extensive buffet with „culinary entertainment“ as well as a „fruit treatment“ and welcome water in the room. „By culinary entertainment, we mean a culinary temptation, delicacies that are not available in every hotel or in the everyday lives of our guests. A fruit treatment is a fruit basket with fruit served in bite-sized portions,“ explains Vogt. The package also includes free parking directly at the hotel, a two-hour trip in a PonTom® water cabriolet on the Havel and Elbe with a boatman, coffee and cake and a four-hour admission ticket to the Bad Wilsnack crystal, spa and graduation thermal baths, including sauna. The price per person in a double room is 233.50 euros.
