The Positano is an exceptionally beautiful, well-proportioned ship whose quality of workmanship and interior fittings far exceed the standard of conventional passenger ships. The real special feature of the Positano is her classification: at 23.40 meters, she is the first ship of such a size to be planned, built and approved by both Germanisch Lloyd and the SeeBG in accordance with the European safety guidelines for seaworthy passenger ships issued in 2003. These guidelines are intended for large ships such as the AIDA series. Implementing them with perfect aesthetics on a length of 23.40 meters was a real challenge.
