Fulminant piano recital at “Kiebitzberg® in Concert" on 20.09.2013 with Elena Kolesnitschenko
The young pianist Elena Kolesnitschenko delighted the audience with a brilliant solo piano recital on Friday, September 20, 2013, at the third concert in the „Kiebitzberg® in Concert“ series initiated by Renate and Andreas Lewerken at the ArtHotel.
This time, the artistic director of the concert series, Reinhard Seehafer, presented the Pianist considered a „child prodigy, who performed in front of the UN in New York and Pope John Paul II in the Vatican at the age of 9. In her Havelberg program, the Ukrainian-born musician, who has lived in Hanover for 13 years, presented two tense interpretations „focus on “their" composer Ludwig von Beethoven.
The rarely heard Bagatelles op.33, performed with Beethovenian wit and humor, were followed by a sensational interpretation of the famous „Pathetique“ op.13, which will long remain in the memory.
To the Highlight of the evening, the Piano work „Souvenir de Beethoven“ by Liszt's contemporary Simon Thalberg, Kolesnichenko with virtuoso vehemence, exquisite taste and vibrant passion performed. Standing ovations and bravos for a masterful artist who deserves to be included in the Olympus of the great pianists of our time.

Kiebitzberg® in Concert: unique concert experiences in a rural setting
Top-class musicians, sonic surprises, unique concert experiences - in a rural setting. This is Kiebitzberg® in Concert under the artistic direction of Reinhard Seehafer (pianist, conductor and artistic director of the Europa Philharmonie in Magdeburg), initiated by the Havelberg entrepreneur couple Renate and Andreas Lewerken. Cultural events are a matter close to their hearts. Various opera performances have already taken place on the Kiebitzberg® Group's shipyard site in collaboration with the Europa Philharmonie in recent years. The successful cooperation will be relaunched in 2013 with „Kiebitzberg® in Concert“ at the new ArtHotel Kiebitzberg®. They and the Europa Philharmonie are strong partners, committed to a common goal: to enrich the northern cultural landscape of Saxony-Anhalt and the Altmark and to radiate nationally and internationally as a cultural trademark of the region. World-famous international soloists and top ensembles are invited to the Altmark in addition to their dates in Berlin, Munich, Paris, Lucerne, New York or London to give people here the opportunity to enjoy such unique concert experiences.
On May 12, 2013, violinist Anna Rabinova and pianist Reinhard Seehafer opened the new international concert series Kiebitzberg® in Concert with an extraordinary chamber concert in the new hall of the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg®. The world-renowned violinist, currently on tour in Europe with the New York Philharmonic, made a stop in Havelberg between major venues in Munich, Dresden, Berlin and Dortmund for the chamber concert with Reinhard Seehafer. Exactly two months later, the second of a total of five events in the Kiebitzberg® in Concert series took place on July 12, 2013. Elena Kolesnitschenko on September 20, 2013 will be followed by Natalya Kraevsky, soprano & Reinhard Seehafer, piano with „Images of the Russian Soul“ and a festive Christmas concert with Floraleda Sacchi, harp on December 6, 2013.
