Kiebitzberg® Group from Havelberg can be pleased about two nominations: The Kiebitzberg® furniture workshops and the Kiebitzberg® Schiffswerft GmbH & Co. KG are potential contenders for the „Großer Preis des Mittelstandes“, the most coveted and important German business competition. The company was already awarded this prize in 1999.
Nomination of companies for the SME award
„We are delighted about the renewed nomination and the associated invitation to the Award ceremony on September 22 to the MARITIM Hotel Dresden. Whether we are honored there as a prize winner or even as a finalist is rather unimportant at the moment, because even just receiving the invitation is a big deal in the context of the most important of all business competitions in Germany already an excellent result,“ explains Renate Lewerken, Managing Director of the Kiebitzberg® Group.
Every year in November, local authorities, associations, institutions and companies are invited to nominate outstanding SMEs from industry, commerce, services, trade and commerce for the competition. The award winners and finalists are selected by twelve regional juries, which assesses the respective companies in their economic region according to certain competition criteria, and finally by a final jury. Per competitive region can three companies as award winners and five more as finalists can be selected.
About the SME Award
The „Grand Prix of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises“ was for Leipzig for the first time in 1994 and awarded throughout Saxony a year later. Since 2002 he is the most important cross-industry nationwide competition for small and medium-sized enterprises. It serves to publicly recognize the outstanding achievements of small and medium-sized companies as the beacons of hope and economic factors in a region.
