We look back on a year that was very intensive and busy for the Kiebitzberg® companies. It is all the more pleasing to now see the results of this work. All the construction work that was started was completed by the end of the year. The shipyard was given a completely new road at the beginning of the year. A reorganization in the areas of shipbuilding, sheet metal and steel processing streamlined the production processes here, and the new CNC press brake makes the work of our colleagues much easier. Due to the positive development of orders, we were able to further increase the number of jobs. Today, the Kiebitzberg® Group employs 70 people. A long-cherished project was a new wing for the canteen and sanitary facilities in the shipyard, which we inaugurated with a breakfast in November. After a long period of temporary work, our master shipbuilder was given a completely new office in the shipbuilding hall, from where he has a good view of all the work. Just in time for the onset of winter, our modern boiler house with a wood-burning system was connected to the grid, enabling us to do something for the environment while at the same time no longer being dependent on expensive oil deliveries. The furniture workshops are also constantly being developed further. Mr. Franke and his team are expanding. The production hall has become cramped. The installation of a new CNC wide-belt sanding machine for surface processing meant that there was a lack of space in the furniture production area. At the turn of the year, we were able to celebrate the topping-out ceremony for another hall in the industrial park. Furniture chipboard can now be professionally stored and prepared for production on 400 m². This means more space in the production hall and faster access to the raw materials. In 2008, the entire production line will be converted for a more effective, faster production process. We have used this year to prepare for the tasks ahead. The constantly rising raw material prices and ancillary production costs can only be counteracted by more efficient production lines and qualified and motivated employees. This is the only way we can keep prices stable for our customers.

We are delighted with the recognition we have received by being awarded the Business Award of the Altmark 2007 was shown to us. The award is also an incentive for our continued personal commitment to our region.

With our annual review we would like to thank you, our partners, friends & the entire Kiebitzberg® team for the past year. We look forward to 2008!
