For our Shipyard we are looking for a new sales representative in the office Metal construction: Houseboats & Jetties. It would be perfect if you have a technical background, e.g.: Metal construction engineer, mechanical engineer, etc. because even if most of our products can be calculated directly from the price list, it is important to have a good understanding of their technical properties.

We work in a flat hierarchy and as a team, so that everyone can communicate directly with everyone else. Product development, sales, design & workshop work hand in hand to bring the products we love to the ports of Germany.

Basic qualifications:

  • Basic technical understanding
  • quick comprehension
  • commercial or technical vocational training in a metalworking profession
  • Basic knowledge of the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB, additional training possible)
  • ideally a „water-related“ hobby (angler, sailor, motorboat enthusiast) in order to be able to advise our boat and jetty customers well.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal processing
  • Enjoy working in a team, a cooperative way of working

This is the working environment that awaits you (at the end of your induction):

  • Support and advice for existing customers
  • Customer acquisition
  • Calculation of jetty systems according to price list
  • Calculation of small aluminum boats according to price list
  • Calculation of shipyard services
  • Tracking of offers
  • Receipt, processing and handling of orders
  • Obtaining offers from suppliers / partners
  • Evaluation of offers / order preparation
  • Occasional trips to inspect construction sites (e.g. if relevant for the preparation of quotations)
  • Creation of order confirmations, partial invoices
  • Preparation of delivery bills, acceptance documents, etc.
  • Preparation of final invoices
  • Project follow-up (follow-up management, service, etc.)

This software will be used in your new workplace (training will take place during the familiarization phase)

  • ExoMind® ERP (calculation, CRM, contact management, project management, ordering)
  • Trimble Sketchup + Layout (e.g. for sales presentations)
  • Excel / LibreOffice (for smaller evaluations, etc.)
  • AutoCAD LT (viewing customer plans, minor editing if necessary - we use SolidWorks for design)
