„Without many words...“, Renate Lewerken greeted the 70 or so guests at the premiere of KIEBITZBERG® in CONCERT in Havelberg on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 5.00 pm. „I'm really looking forward to tonight's musicians,“ said the Managing Director of the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® as she welcomed the evening's star guest Anna Rabinova. The world-renowned violinist is currently on tour in Europe with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and stopped off between major venues in Munich, Dresden, Berlin and Dortmund for the Havelberg chamber concert with Reinhard Seehafer, pianist and conductor, in the large and well-equipped hall.

Scarce for two hours the guests enjoyed Masterpieces by Mozart, Schubert and Brahms - „which are among the most beautiful that have been written for violin and piano,“ announced Anna Rabinova in a Volksstimme interview with Rolf-Dietmar Schmidt on the day before the opening concert and at the same time paid tribute to the cultural commitment and artistic creativity of the entrepreneurial couple Lewerken.

„We have been making our contribution to Havelberg's journey to becoming Europe's smallest cultural capital even before the new hotel and large hall were built,“ emphasizes Managing Director Andreas Lewerken, who is the aim of the City Island cultural project from the very beginning. For him and his wife Cultural events have always been a matter close to his heart. In recent years, the Kiebitzberg® Group's shipyard site has already hosted various events in collaboration with the Europa Philharmonie. Opera performances in front of the unique cathedral backdrop took place. „We have now created all the conditions for a successful new edition of the cooperation at the ArtHotel,“ says the hotel initiator, turning his attention to the latest acquisition, a C. Bechstein Academy grand piano, which, according to Seehafer, is „a real hit“.

Exceptional musical experience

Since the concert on Sunday, the audience has also been convinced of this: „The musical selection is outstanding, the sound experience excellent.“, With these impressions, they set off for home at around 8.30 pm, satisfied. The Werben/Räbel ferry, for example, was a good option. This was because a „cultural bridge“ was built across the Elbe especially for this evening with the „Hol über“ project. In other words, two special ferry times made it easy to attend the evening event and this cooperation will continue in the future.

Or the audience stayed to marvel at Josef Lehnert's works in the newly opened ArtGalerie, rounding off the evening with a glass of wine at the bar or a meal in the Schmokenberg restaurant. „My daughter surprised me with the concert tickets for Mother's Day, and now we're sitting together for a while and enjoying the now rare togetherness,“ said one visitor, delighted with the special gift and certain: „We'll be back!“.

„We have plans for various other events not only for the hotel, but also for the shipyard site, especially with a view to BUGA 2015,“ says Andreas Lewerken, who also invites young musicians and artists to use the stage at the ArtHotel for themselves.
