The Havelberg Kiebitzberg shipyard now offers an unusual way of traveling: whether adventurous like Tom Sawyer or relaxed with dreamy sunsets - with your own raft, Germany's rivers and lakes can be viewed easily and independently from a different perspective. Water hiking, fishing, swimming or partying included. Since this year, residential rafts have been mass-produced in Havelberg according to the rules of German shipbuilding. The Kiebitzberg shipyard has been building high-quality rafts since 2006. The family business now offers rafts in five different sizes and models in the „Adventure“ series. „The smallest raft is 7.40 meters long and has four berths. Up to eight people can travel on it,“ explains Florian Lewerken, who developed the catamaran rafts together with naval architects Matthias Lutter and Stephan Treibmann. At just under 15 meters, the raft offers a large hall for groups of up to 25 people. The rafts are manufactured in a robust aluminum catamaran design. „Thanks to the seawater-resistant aluminum material, they are durable and robust, yet easy to maneuver,“ explains Florian Lewerken. „The annual problems of repainting, as with steel ships, are therefore no longer necessary.“ Nothing stands in the way of sailing fun. The small rafts can be driven without a license. For the larger rafts with powerful engines, however, a pleasure craft license is required. With the exception of the party raft, which is suitable for short trips, the boats have a toilet and can be individually equipped with a sauna or a room for seminars or fitness courses, for example, according to the customer's wishes. With two hulls, they are extremely stable and with one level, they are also easy to reach without a ladder or step. The rafts are manufactured entirely in Havelberg.
