The Kiebitzberg® shipyard has completed the next important step on the way to becoming an exclusive yacht manufacturer. The new construction of the modern yacht hall with 1,200 m² of production space has been completed and the first project is already under construction: the Kiebitzberg® Trawler 1500 is a premiere with a pilothouse and a clearance height of only 3.5 m!

The task was a challenge - a trawler with a typical appearance and characteristics with a length of less than 15 m and, above all, less than 3.5 m clearance height. After a few weeks of planning, the keel was laid in the fall of 2008. The Havelberger Yachtmanufaktur wants to set an example once again: the first ship of the new trawler series is already being built using the latest CNC technology.

The design of the interior was developed together with the customer, and some special solutions show how flexible the Kiebitzberger is: There is space for a medium-sized scooter in the stern of the yacht, which can be lifted ashore from the upper deck using the boom or the optional hydraulic crane. Perfectly coordinated materials, solid and carefully selected fittings and the meticulous installation of the technical components ensure comfort and a safe journey. In any case, the 14.99 m long concept impresses with above-average tank volumes (diesel 2,500, heating oil 1,000, fresh water 1,560 and waste water 500 liters) and a well thought-out use of storage space. The shipyard shows its particular strength in the two bathrooms: the experience gained from years of mineral material production in countless special solutions is implemented here in the owner's and guest bathrooms. Rarely have yachts in this category experienced such attention to detail and quality - typical Kiebitzberg®.

The upper deck with its folding mast and retractable window frame allows the clearance height to be reduced by folding down the windows on the roof. This makes the ship ready for the waterways and coasts of Europe. The two economical Iveco diesels with 110 kW each give the trawler a cruising speed of 10 knots.

For over 20 years, the company in Havelberg has been dealing with high-quality furniture, interior fittings and products made of mineral materials. The Kiebitzberg® Group has a production area of approx. 7,000 m² and, with over 80 employees, is one of the market leaders in Germany in the areas of mineral material production, furniture and shipbuilding, but especially in high-quality interior fittings with mineral materials and high-end furniture construction. The finishing hall for shipbuilding, completed in 2008, increases the capacity of the Kiebitzberg® Group to 4 yachts up to 21 m in length per year. But the company is thinking ahead: an additional new hall for painting work will be completed in the fall of 2009, and the Kiebitzberg® Group is already building its own conference hotel for guests, customers and partners. To date, around 7 million euros have been invested in the expansion of the company in Havelberg over the last few years.

Kiebitzberger's high standards of quality, innovative production options and wide range of products allow the company to look to the future with optimism, even in difficult economic times. We can already look forward to the further development of the trawler series from Havelberg.
