Ten couples accepted our invitation to the live cooking show „Sweet Valentine“ last night from 6 pm. „We were expecting a big turnout, but the fact that we were booked up so quickly was a very positive surprise. It shows that our concept is well received outside and that we are on the right track,“ said Kiebitzberg® Managing Director Renate Lewerken, satisfied with the opening event. It can go on like this!

The first guests of the evening arrived at 5.30 p.m., having redeemed „a very nice present for their silver wedding anniversary“ with the Valentine's Day special. This left enough time to take a look at the rooms before the official start. A wish that was expressed more than once that evening and was of course gladly fulfilled. The party started punctually at 6 pm. The guests were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and a rose for each woman by Renate Lewerken, who presented the Valentine's Day gift on behalf of Kiebitzberg® founder Andreas Lewerken.

The matching white and red wines were served with the 3-course menu. The Italian vegetable soup with salmon and strips of pike-perch was followed by a rabbit roulade on Riesling foam. The crowning glory was an orange jelly in a chocolate coating on champagne parfait. A successful debut for chef Rainer Goerling, who transferred his open and friendly manner to the mood of the guests with ease. „The guests couldn't stop raving and were already asking about the next cooking show dates,“ says Birka Müller, ArtHotel receptionist, delighted with the all-round success of the event. The ArtHotel is already waiting in the wings for the next one; the new „Culinary Calendar“ is already in print.
