Solid surface materials - Perfect in shape & color - inside & outside

Solid surface materials have been processed at Kiebitzberg® in Havelberg since 1995. While the acrylic-bound solid surface material  HIMACS in residential and commercial premises has gained widespread acceptance, outdoor applications such as Building facades made of HIMACS a specialty of the Kiebitzberg® company. As the supplier of the Toto Lotto façade in Bremen, the family-run company has made a name for itself between Hamburg and Berlin as a Quality manufacturer for solid surface materials on buildings. „As a manufacturer with 15 years of experience, we are convinced that HIMACS will become even more established in the design of façades,“ says Florian Lewerken, Head of Kiebitzberg® Solid Surface Processing, assessing the current demand and market situation. „We have short lines of communication, can respond flexibly and quickly to requests, manufacture by hand as one-offs and also in series,“ says Andreas Lewerken, Kiebitzberg® founder and Managing Director, highlighting the company's strengths.

About the project: Building façade with LG HIMACS Arctic White

In April 2011, Bremer Toto Lotto GmbH completed the construction of a new four-storey residential and commercial building with underground parking on its property on Schwachhauser Heerstraße in Bremen. In addition to the doctors' and pharmacists' bank, the building houses further offices and three apartments. The façade of the new building for Bremer Toto Lotto GmbH was designed using HIMACS panels from LG Hausys, among others.

What is the material HIMACS?

LG HIMACS is an acrylic-bonded solid surface material that is composed of around 70 percent natural stone powder, around 25 percent acrylic resin and around 5 percent natural pigments. This modern, ecological and highly versatile material was developed and manufactured by LG HAUSYS and LG HAUSYS EUROPE, the world's leading company in the sector, based in Geneva. Two HIMACS properties stand out in particular: absolute water impermeability and a long service life. The material is so robust that color does not fade or peel off. Thanks to its non-porous surface, HIMACS is even, hygienic and easy to clean, resistant to stains and heat.
