From Monday, November 5, 2012, the new Schmokenberg restaurant in Havelberg will be offering its guests a lunch menu with 7 dishes from 9.50 euros from Monday to Sunday, in addition to the evening menu.
The Restaurant Schmokenberg in Havelberg has been serving its guests regional, seasonal and international dishes in surprising variations since September 21, 2012. Less than a month after the opening, hotel manager Renate Lewerken and her team decided to extend the opening hours in response to popular demand. From November 05 the Schmokenberg then welcomes its guests daily from 12.00 noon already at lunchtime.
„We want to offer the people of Havelberg, our hotel guests and visitors to the town lunch in a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere during the week too,“ explains Kiebitzberg® founder Andreas Lewerken.
During the day, from 12.00 to 18.00, the Schmokenberg restaurant will be offering a Lunch with each 7 dishes at prices between 9.50 and 14.80 Euro offered. This is accompanied by a soup and a dessert. Discover the new Schmokenberg and enjoy lunch, for example:
- Homemade cream goulash with boiled potatoes from the Altmark fields. Served with a small mixed salad. (9.50 Euro)
- Havelberger Land„ salad plate“ with smoked salmon, leaf lettuce, chicory, mustard-balsamic vinaigrette, raw vegetables from the region & baguette bread (9.50 Euro)
- Redfish fillet on tagliatelle in fine cream sauce with aromatic cherry tomatoes (11.80 Euro)

About the restaurant in the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® Havelberg
The structural origins of the building date back to the 18th century. The weaver Johann Joachim Schmok from Nitzow built a damask factory on the site at Schönberger Weg 6 in Havelberg. In the middle of the 19th century, the ice cellar, which is still preserved today, was built into the slope of the vineyard. On August 7, 2007, the founders and managing directors of the Kiebitzberg® Group in Havelberg, Renate and Andreas Lewerken, bought the property with a hotel called Schmokenberg on it, which was in dire need of renovation at the time. The Havel as an element of peace and relaxation, a hotel as a place of encounter - with these visions, the first construction work began in the fall of 2010. Just under a year later, on August 15, 2011, the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® guest house opened with 17 modern rooms, each with its own individual touch. On September 21, 2012, the second construction phase was completed with the opening of the main building and the start of restaurant operations. The wellness suites (with sauna or heat cabin) are undoubtedly one of the highlights of the hotel. But guests can expect more.
