One of the great advantages of a catamaran platform like the PonTOM® Classic is the completely flat deck area. Unlike conventional motor yachts, there are no stairs to climb - all areas on board can be reached comfortably via one surface.
For a family on a lake near Leipzig, this feature should be crucial. One family member is mobile with a wheelchair. So that everyone could be out on the water together, the family chose the PonTOM® Classic 7.5 as their new boat.
Before construction, future owners checked all dimensions with the shipyard team to see whether they were suitable for wheelchairs and made changes where necessary. The three exits were made wider to allow easy passage. The steering position and deck furniture were positioned with the turning circle in mind. The steering position was completely redesigned to ensure wheelchair accessibility.
On March 17, the time had come - the catamaran boat was loaded onto a boat trailer, driven to Leipzig and handed over to the owner's family.
We wish the new owners lots of fun with their new boat and of course: always a hand's breadth of water under the keel!
