The ship is designed for two purposes: First and foremost, it is intended to drive piles stored on deck in a row autonomously, i.e. independently of a pusher vessel. For this purpose, a hydraulic pile driver is fitted to the excavator mounted on board on a slewing ring. Two hydraulically lowerable anchor piles hold and stabilize the ship. The electrical and hydraulic power requirements are operated entirely by the dredger. The crew can rest in a heated break room. If required, the excavator can be converted with a bucket or forestry grapple for clearing operations thanks to the quick coupler. The large operating radius of the excavator and the large power reserves of the excavator and pile driver allow maximum flexibility on site, so that even heavy obstacles for shipping can be removed.
