On June 20, 2008 at 9 a.m., the launching of the Mississippi-style passenger ship with the construction number KSW-051 took place at the Kiebitzberg shipyard in Havelberg. The ship was ceremoniously christened with the provisional name KSW-051 by Renate Lewerken and then launched with two special cranes for heavy loads. After the official handover to the Poschke shipping company, those present rounded off the celebrations with a summer barbecue.
Once the necessary test runs have been completed, the paddle steamer sets off on its long journey towards the Saaler Bodden.
