„Certificates are useless if they only hang on the wall for decoration“

In the first few weeks of January, the ArtHotel team will be offering each hotel area Standards and new ideas developed, that the Securing service and making it even better should. The results of this quality work have been incorporated into the application for certification with the seal of the ServiceQualität initiative. „The decisive factor for us is whether a business has noticeably and sustainably improved its service quality,“ explains Matthias Grünberg from the Harz University of Applied Sciences, which is responsible for reviewing the application together with DEHOGA Saxony-Anhalt. For the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® in Havelberg the Q seal would be the first award. „All the certificates on the wall are useless if they only hang there for decoration and you don't live service. But dealing with the Q brings us so much inwards that we can also radiate it outwards,“ Renate Lewerken is convinced.

If the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® passes the certification process, it would be one of around 170 establishments in Saxony-Anhalt to receive the seal of the Initiative ServiceQualität Deutschland are currently allowed to wear. With more than 3000 awards, the badge with the large „Q“ one of the most important seals in the tourism industry throughout Germany.

The ServiceQualität Deutschland initiative is supported by several institutions in Saxony-Anhalt: The Harz University of Applied Sciences is responsible for implementation and, together with the DEHOGA, is the inspection body. The Tourismusverband Sachsen-Anhalt e.V. acts as the coordinating body. Partners are the IHK Magdeburg, IHK Halle-Dessau and the IMG Saxony-Anhalt. The ServiceQualität project is funded by the European Social Fund and the state of Saxony-Anhalt as part of the Operational Program.
