Press release, June 17, 2011
Craftsmen such as painters, plumbers, stair builders and carpenters are currently hard at work every day at the ARTHOTEL Kiebitzberg®, which is about to open. The completely redesigned guest house is almost finished. Painting work and the installation of all the interior fittings are currently in full swing.
The Havelberg-based company attaches particular importance to its own products: „We benefit from the diversity and professionalism within the Kiebitzberg® group of companies,“ explains Jens Vogt, Hotel Director of the ARTHOTEL Kiebitzberg®. The hotel receives state-of-the-art interiors from the Kiebitzberg® furniture workshops. The solid surface materials department is producing the exclusive sanitary facilities, and the Kiebitzberg® shipyard is carrying out the metalwork on the stairs and banisters. „In this way, we can ensure that the hotel is furnished to a high standard in accordance with our ideas and our high standards, as well as having first-class facilities,“ continues Vogt. The guest house belonging to the future 4-star hotel extends over three floors, which are connected by a self-supporting staircase. It offers space for 17 modern rooms. „By exclusively using the company's own developments and products, the ARTHOTEL Kiebitzberg® will become a permanent exhibition for the Group's high-quality products and at the same time a showpiece for the company,“ explains company boss Andreas Lewerken.
The name ARTHOTEL says it all: the hotel will therefore focus on art and culture. In the future lobby, artists will be able to present their works to visitors in changing exhibitions. „Regular cultural events such as theater, music or dance will quickly fill the hotel's spacious rooms with life. As the Kiebitzberg® Group is a family business, daughter Agnes-Josephine Lewerken, who successfully completed her art studies in Rostock this year, will open the round of exhibiting artists. The young artist's paintings will be exhibited in every room of the hotel“ concludes Jens Vogt.
The guest house will open its doors in July 2011. The main building with a further 26 rooms and suites as well as a gourmet restaurant and banquet facilities for up to 250 people will open at the beginning of 2012.
