The ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® became this year's VORREiTER tourism award of the state of Saxony-Anhalt nominated. This makes Kiebitzberg® one of the 10 Best of the BEST in the tourism sector in Saxony-Anhalt.

On Wednesday, 12.11.2014 at the Saxony-Anhalt Tourism Day in Halberstadt, these PREVIOUS winners were honored. Hartmut Möllring, Minister for Science and Economic Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt and patron of the competition, presented the trophies.
„Tourism awards serve to honor clever ideas, high-quality implementations and economic success. We have innovative business models, good ideas from creative tourism professionals and high-quality offers in the state and we need to make this even better known. Saxony-Anhalt has something special to offer its guests. This is also reflected in the winners of the VORREiTER 2014,“ explains Möllring.
The winners of the competition for the 2014 prize were the Luther Memorials Foundation of Saxony-Anhalt, Gut Zichtau GmbH & Co. KG and Rotkäppchen - Mumm Sektkellereien GmbH. The city of Halberstadt was honored with a special prize.
In 2014, for the first time, the prize was not awarded in predefined categories. The proposed project should be assigned to the central themes: Cities and Culture and/or Active and Nature. The jury selected the winners from a total of 32 competition entries.
The competition for the Saxony-Anhalt Tourism Award has been held since 2001 and is organized by the Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt mbH (IMG). It is open to tourism providers from Germany who promote the sustainable development of tourism in Saxony-Anhalt with innovative projects.
