18 degrees and sunshine - the best conditions for a summer kick-off prevailed in Havelberg on Friday, May 3, 2013. Around 60 people attended the opening of the new gallery at the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® at 3 pm. Afterwards, the day continued in a relaxed atmosphere in the beer garden with coffee and cake, delicacies from the barbecue and shows by a professional bartender. The second highlight of the day: the late-night show with Andreas Pasternack & Band from Rostock made the motto „SWING the ART“ - New York is on the Havel“ perfect.

On Friday, May 3, 2013, the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® invited guests to Havelberg for a swinging start to the summer. And the motto „SWING the ART“ was the program! To 3 p.m. opened the new ArtGalerie with colorful paintings and objects by the largely undiscovered Berlin-based Artist Josef Lehnert and from 9 pm brought the Quintet around saxophonist and entertainer Andreas Pasternack (Rostock) brought swing and jazz from the legendary 1920s to the 1950s to the cathedral and island city on the Elbe-Havel river. In addition to a wide-ranging musical repertoire that included the greatest hits in music history, the successful jazz musicians had some wonderful slapstick interludes in their luggage.

Entertainment like in Sinatra's time

„Music and entertainment. No one mastered this combination as well as Frank Sinatra,“ says Andreas Pasternack - a lover of transformation, cult saxophonist, singer and entertainer all in one. The 50 or so enthusiastic guests at the ArtHotel were able to see this for themselves on Friday. The charismatic thoroughbred musician, born in 1964, and his band „sing and play their way straight into people's hearts in a very natural way“, as the initiator of the new hotel in Havelberg and founder of the Kiebitzberg® Group Andreas Lewerken has often been able to see for himself live. And that's why he knew: „This was exactly the right live band to inaugurate our new C. Bechstein Academy grand piano at the summer kick-off.“. The guests felt the same way and continued to dance in a relaxed atmosphere in the main hall until after midnight. Everyone agreed that a special dance evening like this must continue in the future. „The next late-night show is planned for the fall.“, announces hotel manager Renate Lewerken.

Kiebitzberg® in Concert - 5 classical music concerts from 12.05.2013

Less than a week after the concert grand piano premiere on the late-night show, the next musical highlight in the Havelberg calendar of events. KIEBITZBERG® IN CONCERT starts on May 12, 2013 a new Classical concert series at the ArtHotel - and even then it's „New York is on Havel“, just in a different way. The world-renowned violinist Anna Rabinova, member of the New York Philharmonic, together with the Conductors and pianists Reinhard Seehafer will provide musical surprises this coming Sunday. „In collaboration with the Europa Philharmonie and under the artistic direction of Reinhard Seehafer, we are bringing world-famous soloists and top classical music ensembles to Havelberg on five dates this year,“ says Andreas Lewerken. For him and his wife, cultural events are a matter close to their hearts. With the new Hotel in Havelberg including conservatory, terrace, bar, gallery and the large, well-equipped hall, all the conditions are now in place to organize concerts, readings, seminars and much more. „We deliberately want to offer regional (up-and-coming) artists a stage,“ says Renate Lewerken, inviting them to promote culture together at a local level.
