Yes, since it is aluminum, machining is quite possible.
The PonTOM® Defender workboats are made of 3 or 4 mm aluminum. They are easy to trailer thanks to the flat floor, but moving them purely by hand is very difficult.

Yes, the boat has a flat bottom that is extremely robust thanks to trapezoidal beading.
With the PonTOM® Defender platform concept, you can already choose from 7 different sizes and customize them with numerous additional options. We can also develop and manufacture special accessories specifically for your application. A completely new design is of course also possible in principle, but usually exceeds the cost-benefit ratio.
Yes, corresponding concepts have already been implemented with Kräutler drives.
The PonTOM® Defender 4.2 and 4.9 are only 1.75 wide. Rudder straps are available as an option for them.

Yes, if it gets an engine.
Naturally. For fans of classic outboard motors, we have Suzuki motors in our range (with tiller control or steering position) - however, electric motors are also used more frequently and more often. Here we work together with the brands Kräutler and Torqeedo.
We are also happy to configure a suitable trailer and adapt it precisely to the boat.
The boats are designed for long shaft motors. Thanks to our adjustable motor plate, it is also possible to mount a normal shaft, but this can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to use a tiller steering (the motor is then simply very low...).
